Leawood Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
Ingram’s Magazine has named Dr. David Clymer of Apex Orthopedics & Sports Medicine one of the top doctors in the Kansas City region. The magazine recognizes local doctors each year for extraordinary performance in their respective specialties and for unparalleled compassionate patient care. Honorees are nominated through the recommendation of their peers.
Dr. Clymer received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and completed his internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who considers himself a “conservative surgeon,” or one who places emphasis on nonsurgical care. He specializes in total joint arthroplasty, spine, sports medicine and general orthopedics of both upper and lower extremities.
In addition to his medical practice in Kansas City, Dr. Clymer often travels to the Dominican Republic and countries in Africa to serve on medical mission trips, providing comprehensive orthopedic care to the underserved communities in those areas.
“Dr. Clymer is not only a gifted surgeon, but he is extremely humble and has never sought recognition for 35 his years of unwavering dedication and concern for his patients,” said Todd Laytham, practice administrator for Apex Orthopedics. “We congratulate Dr. Clymer for this prestigious and well-deserved honor.”
