Leawood Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on June 6.
Leawood Chamber President Kevin Jeffries was honored by the Leawood City Council on June 3 for his 20 years of service to the community. The award was presented by Leawood Mayor Peggy Dunn.
Jeffries, a 29-year Leawood resident, was hired as the Chamber’s first employee after a career in banking. His background also included experience as a CPA and Urban Planner. “It has been a privilege over the past 20 years to help build the community where we live and have raised our family. It is so very fulfilling to have had the opportunity to work with all the great people at the Chamber and the City to help shape the community that Leawood has become. I wish that everyone could be so fortunate.” stated Jeffries.
Present as Jeffries received his award were his wife of 30 years, children, sister, and several members of the Chamber Board of Directors.
