Leawood Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on July 17.
The Leawood Chamber and Economic Development Council are working with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and K-12 school superintendents to increase the local talent pipeline - and we’re asking for your input.
Our goal is to design a broad-based regional program that ensures all high school students graduate with employer-recognized skill sets, including industry-recognized credentials, internship experiences, a portfolio of career-oriented work, and/or college credits.
The Kauffman Foundation has developed a survey to collect information from you and other regional employers in order to add an informed business voice as we redesign the regional business-education platform. Your voice and perspective on workforce needs and challenges are vital to this research and workforce development project.
Please take this five-minute survey to tell us what you need to support improved student career readiness and a possible platform to better engage students with your organization.
Thank you in advance for your willingness to complete the survey. If you’d like to learn more about Kauffman’s education and workforce efforts, please check out the Real World Learning portal or reach out to Laura Evans, Business and Education Advisor-in-Residence at Levans@kauffman.org,
