Graduates earn 116 degrees from Sterling College


About 16.4 percent of the 116 degrees and certificates handed out by Sterling College in 2017-18 were to students in education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Sterling conferred 19 bachelor's degrees in education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in "other" business, management, marketing, and related support services. Data shows the school gave out 18 bachelor's degrees in "other" business, management, marketing, and related support services, followed by 11 bachelor's degrees in elementary education and teaching and 11 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences.

The college enrolled 697 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
