Leawood Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on January 2.

Each New Year brings a new dynamic to the Leawood Chamber's Board of Directors, with a new Executive committee, the addition of new Board members, while also saying good-bye to those who have given their time and leadership for a number of years.

The Board of Directors contributes significantly to the Chamber's success by leading our policy direction and monitoring our financial activities. We are fortunate to have a group made up of passionate individuals who have a thorough understanding and belief in the Leawood Chamber’s mission and goals and who also bring with them a wealth of expertise.

In 2020, we are excited to welcome new Chair, Amy Tysseling. Amy is CFO at DEMDACO, as well as a Blue Valley School District board member. We also welcome new Board members Caitlin Waters (CBIZ), Melanie Glassman (CrossFirst Bank) and Shane Foster (The Barstow School).

At the end of last year, we said good-bye to board members Monte Giddings (CBIZ) and Monty Spradling (UMB Bank). Monte Giddings has been involved with the Chamber for the past 20 years and has served in many volunteer capacities for the Chamber, heading up our Ambassadors, Government Affairs, and Economic Development Council, and also as Board Chair. Monty Sprading served as the Board Chair in 2018 and will be chairing the Leawood Economic Development Council in 2020.
