Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Birt's Bistro restaurant on the Benevilla Surprise campus is the place to be in the Northwest Valley next weekend to enjoy live music from some great local bands.

Birt's Bistro restaurant on the Benevilla Surprise campus is the place to be in the Northwest Valley next weekend to enjoy live music from some great local bands. The classic sounds of the “Encore Big Band,” an 18-piece big band, will fill the air as they host a special concert from 5PM to 7PM at Birt's Bistro Friday, February 8th showcasing the songs you remember best from the 40's through the 80's. There is a $5 cover charge that night.

Saturday, February 9th marks the return of the ever popular “John Hodgson” to Birt's Bistro with a free concert highlighting his lineup of classic acoustic rock mixed with his eclectic humor.

Birt's Bistro is located on the main Benevilla campus at the Hellen & John M. Jacobs Independence Plaza, 16752 N. Greasewood Street in Surprise.

Birt's Bistro will feature their popular “Happy Hour” promotions. During concert times there will be great specials on appetizers, food, wine selections and domestic beers. Since there are no reservations, it is highly recommended you arrive early. Birt's Bistro, Boutique and Bookstore always serves up a fun music and dining experience.

Birt's Bistro is a social enterprise. Every purchase helps to fund Benevilla programs and services. Birt's Bistro is building community, one plate at a time. Birt's also has a private dining room, full catering menu and offers the entire facility for both dining and private catered events?

Started by the community and for the community in 1981, Benevilla is a not-for-profit family services agency dedicated to enriching the lives of West Valley residents by providing care services for older adults, adults with disabilities, children, and families.
